Founded by Christien Ellis and built on 20+ years of professional loudspeaker design experience, CE Electro-Acoustics is an independent loudspeaker and system design consultancy providing the audio industry with advanced electro-acoustic design and measurement expertise. Specialist design skills backed up with solid support and commitment are provided throughout the design and development process. These skill sets, combined with powerful analysis and development tools enable highly optimised loudspeaker products to be designed and realised.
From an early age a fascination of sound has led Christien into a lifelong study of electro-acoustics. A Degree in electronics and a Masters in acoustics laid the foundations for a loudspeaker profession and in 1996 an opportunity arose for a junior loudspeaker engineer with British hi-fi company, Mission Electronics. In 1997 Christien transferred to support the development of a new loudspeaker technology, the Distributed Mode Loudspeaker (DML) with licensing company, New Transducers Limited (NXT). Christien operated in a technical research and management role for the development of full range drive units, now commercially known as the Audio Full Range (AFR) and Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) drive units. Further commercial developments gave Christien the opportunity to work alongside world-class loudspeaker companies broadening his drive unit and system design expertise.
Wishing to support the audio and loudspeaker industry further, CE Electro-Acoustics was founded in 2007.
